Selection of gear metering pumps for high-viscosity fluids
What kind of metering pump should be selected for high-viscosity fluids? Today, a customer asked how to select a gear metering pump for honey-like slurry.
He provided the following information:
Medium: honey-like slurry
No corrosion, no particles
Flow rate: 500mL/min
Flow rate: 1000mL/min
Temperature: usually used at room temperature of 20 degrees
Pressure: no pressure at the inlet and the outlet is pumped into a 20bar reactor
Used with a variable frequency motor
Two sets of pumps are used for two flow rates, and the appropriate displacement and inlet and outlet diameters are recommended
After seeing this, our technicians replied and recommended these two different types of metering pumps
500ml: CX-HD-6.3/0.55KW variable frequency motor/1:5 reducer/304/440C/copper sleeve/mechanical seal
1000ml: CX-HD-12/0.75KW variable frequency motor/1:5 reducer/304/440C/copper sleeve/mechanical seal
6.3CC caliber G1/2 12CC caliber G3/4
If the customer uses solvent materials to clean the pump Perfluoroether mechanical seal is required. Additional cost: 6.3CC+250 12CC+450
