1、 Core analysis of customer needs
Medium characteristics:
Toluene, xylene, butanone, acetone, n-butyl acetate, and naphtha (light aromatic hydrocarbons) are highly flammable and toxic substances
that require special consideration for explosion prevention, corrosion resistance, and sealing.
Concentration range: toluene/xylene (15-40%), butanone/acetone/n-butyl acetate (10-30%), naphtha (≤ 10%).
Performance requirements:
Flow range: 7-120 L/min (ensuring linear coverage of the flow meter).
Connection method: 1 '' GAS threaded connection (matching standard interfaces such as NPT or BSP).
Safety and Materials:
Prohibit aluminum (which may react with certain media and pose a safety hazard).
Explosion proof requirement: ATEX certification (EU explosion-proof standard, applicable to Zone 1/21 hazardous areas) is required.
Material recommendation: 316L stainless steel (corrosion-resistant), Hastelloy alloy (C276/C22, suitable for high concentration organic solvents)
Supplementary Key Technical Parameters
Explosion proof grade selection:
ATEX Ex d IIC T4: Suitable for Class II gas environments such as toluene and acetone, with a surface temperature of ≤ 135 ℃.
If the working conditions involve dust (such as light aromatic hydrocarbons in naphtha), Ex tD certification needs to be supplemented.
Material corrosion resistance verification:
Provide a 240 hour salt spray test report (ASTM B117) on 316L stainless steel for toluene and butanone.
Hastelloy C276 is suitable for concentrations>30% of butanone/acetone and requires material certification (such as NACE MR0175).
Optimization of flowmeter performance:
Recommend low viscosity specialized turbines (impeller material PPS+carbon fiber, reducing the influence of medium viscosity).
Provide digital signal output (4-20mA/RS485), compatible with DCS/PLC systems.
